Advancing Neonatal Care Through Innovation

The World Pediatrics, Perinatology, and Emergency Pediatrics Care Summit has consistently served as a global platform for clinicians, researchers, academicians, and healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge, share breakthroughs, and shape the future of child and newborn health. The 5th edition continues this mission by highlighting cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and best clinical practices in pediatrics and perinatology.

Dr. Alimukhamedov’s participation aligns perfectly with the summit’s vision—bridging science and practice to enhance neonatal outcomes worldwide, especially in the critical area of respiratory stabilization in preterm infants.

Featured Presentation

Speech Title:

Evaluation of the Effectiveness of a Complex of Minimally Invasive Technologies in Stabilizing the Respiratory Status of Preterm Infants

Respiratory distress remains one of the leading challenges in the care of preterm infants. Advances in neonatal intensive care have significantly improved survival rates; however, optimizing respiratory support while minimizing lung injury continues to be a major clinical priority.

In his highly anticipated presentation, Dr. Alimukhamedov will evaluate the effectiveness of a comprehensive approach using minimally invasive respiratory technologies in stabilizing the respiratory status of preterm infants. His talk will explore how these strategies can reduce the need for invasive mechanical ventilation, lower the risk of complications, and contribute to better short- and long-term outcomes.

Attendees can expect an evidence-based discussion supported by clinical data, practical insights, and real-world experience from neonatal intensive care settings.

Why This Topic Matters

Preterm infants are particularly vulnerable to respiratory complications due to immature lungs and underdeveloped respiratory control systems. Traditional invasive ventilation, while life-saving, is associated with risks such as ventilator-induced lung injury and the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).

Minimally invasive approaches—such as LISA/MIST techniques, non-invasive ventilation strategies, and optimized delivery room stabilization protocols—have emerged as promising alternatives. These methods aim to support spontaneous breathing, reduce lung trauma, and promote more physiological respiratory adaptation.

Dr. Alimukhamedov’s research and clinical work focus precisely on these innovations, making his session particularly relevant for:

  • Neonatologists and neonatal intensivists
  • Pediatricians and pediatric critical care specialists
  • NICU nurses and respiratory therapists
  • Researchers in neonatology and perinatology
  • Healthcare professionals involved in delivery room management and neonatal stabilization

  • Delivery room stabilization of preterm newborns
  • LISA/MIST (Less Invasive Surfactant Administration / Minimally Invasive Surfactant Therapy) techniques
  • Non-invasive ventilation strategies
  • Prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia
  • Evidence-based neonatal intensive care practices

Dr. Alimukhamedov is the author and co-author of multiple scientific publications and conference abstracts and is an active participant in international neonatal research and education programs. His dedication to advancing neonatal care has earned him awards and recognition at several international medical and scientific conferences.

Through his work, he continues to contribute to the global dialogue on improving neonatal outcomes, particularly in resource-diverse healthcare settings.

Biography: Umid Rustamuly Alimukhamedov is a PhD candidate at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. He is a neonatologist–intensivist at the National Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology in Almaty, Kazakhstan, one of the country’s leading tertiary perinatal centers. In his clinical practice, he is directly involved in the care of critically ill and extremely preterm newborns requiring advanced neonatal intensive care.

Dr. Alimukhamedov is a certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) trainer in the Republic of Kazakhstan and a lecturer at the Department of Neonatology of Kazakh National Medical University. He has more than 10 years of professional experience in the field of neonatology, combining clinical practice, academic activity, and medical education.
